"I LOVE JAPAN” Elective, welcomes you to the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan. The aim of elective is to help your child come a step closer and understand Japanese culture.

About the event
Age group: PYP2- PYP5

The elective’s aim is at introducing the art of Japanese Tea ceremony along with tasting it. We will practice the art of calligraphy, where we will learn to write our names and birthdates in Japanese script. The elective aims to run around celebrating the themes of spring and the spirit of childhood, with Sakura: cherry blossom art, manga creations, origami, sushi making and DIY Ramen.
Meanwhile, if we learn some simple ways of conversing in Japanese, that will be great too!
No prior knowledge of Japanese is required for the Elective as it is NOT a mother tongue program!
